MultiTracker running too slow on iPad 3 with IOS 9.3.5

Postby philgregory » Wed Feb 21, 2018 12:32 pm

I downloaded the App, and the free example, La Bamba, but when I load it in it, as soon as the count in finishes it starts spluttering, and is completely unusable.

I realise it isn't the newest iPad, but I wouldn't expect it to not work at all.

It is currently the only App I have installed, aside from the compulsory ones that come with the iPad, as I did a factory reset.

I just want to get on mixing and playing.

Kind regards
Phil

Hi Phil,
Sorry to hear that. Thanks for letting us know. Have you tried either of the other free demos here: http://songgalaxy.com/multi.php? I will check with the programming team if they have any suggestions..

Hi, Thanks for your reply.

I have just tried both, after downloading dropbox.

Tha Fatts Domino song seemed to work ok, but the Dean Martin song was quite stuttery.

It seems if there are more than 10 or so tracks its can't handle it.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I have downloaded Dropbox and the other free examples.

I'm Walking seemed to work okay.

That's Amore less well.

Presumably the issue is down to too many tracks and the iPad can't process them quickly enough.

I guess the workaround would be to download them and mix them on a computer and then once I have rendered them to 1 stereo track I can use them from iTunes or something on the iPad, but I really wanted to just do everything on the iPad itself.

Any suggestions?

Kind regards

Thanks for testing and feedback. Yes, that does appear to be the issue. What happens if you mute a few channels? Does that improve the stuttering? The programming team have been testing too and looking into a solution..
But yes, the workaround you mention might be the best option in the meantime..
